For this intimate wedding at The Vineyard Hotel, near Newbury (@VineyardNewbury) the bride went about things slightly differently. Rather than choosing sashes to co-ordinate with her bridesmaid’s dress and flowers, she chose her favourite colour for the sashes then matched everything to that colour. We dressed the chairs with our perfect fit white chair covers and then used our teal silk sashes tied in our Butterfly Bow style. The guests’ chairs all had diamanté buckles on their sashes to add a bit of sparkle. The diamanté buckles complemented the brooches on the front of both the bridesmaid’s dress and that of the flower girl. The chairs for the bride and groom had both teal sashes and ivory lace sashes tied in our Rose Knot with leaves style. The ivory lace was chosen by the bride because her dress was made of ivory lace. The bride chose to use our cream aisle runner rather than the traditional red carpet supplied by the hotel because she felt that it was better suited to her colour scheme.
The chairs were perfectly arranged making sure that were in straight lines and we used a tape measure to ensure that each row was the same distance apart. Our trained team spent time checking that all of the sashes were also perfectly straight. The sashes were all the same height on the chairs, and with all of the Butterfly Bows the same size and all of the tails the same length.
This wedding was given the same level of attention as all of our other weddings. However, there was one thing which made this wedding different from all of the others we have dressed; it was our own wedding! For a change we got to see the chairs with our chair covers and sashes on while they were being used. Usually we only have photos which show empty chairs, but this time we have photos of guests in the room and sitting on the chairs for both the Ceremony and the Wedding Breakfast afterwards.
Some of the photos of our wedding that we have used were taken by our photographer, Simon Kemp who captured our day perfectly using his wonderful story telling style. The photos are all very natural, showing everyone in a lovely relaxed way. With special thanks to Simon for giving us permission to use the photos. Other photos were captured by at least 4 cameras, hence the different lighting and colours.
