With views directly over Windsor Castle, The Harte & Garter Hotel enjoys the finest location in town. With many of its original features in tact, this remarkable property offers you a combination of both modern facilities and classical style.
The Harte & Garter Hotel is an amalgamation of two 14th century inns; The Garter Inn, named after the Most Noble Order of the Garter, which was founded by King Edward III and The White Harte, named in honour of the Royal Emblem worn by King Richard II. In the late 19th Century they were joined together to form The Harte & Garter Hotel, a building in the Jacobethan style, much loved by the Victorians and reflecting the Shakespearean connections.
Every care has been taken to ensure the hotel has retained its historic charm and the interiors are a remarkable combination of modern and classical design. The Harte & Garter Hotel offers 79 luxurious and individual bedrooms, retaining some of the original features, many with unrivalled views of Windsor Castle and seven elegant private dining and meeting rooms. The Tower Bar & Brasserie serves classic British cuisine. The original stables have been transformed into the luxury ‘Stables Spa’ with four themed treatment rooms, perfect for a weekend of indulgence to ensure you feel and look your best! The Ballroom has retained its original architectural features and provides an exquisite backdrop for weddings and private dining with seating for up to 160 guests.
